Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal declares assets worth Rs 4.75 cr
Sarbananda Sonowal, the BJP's most high-profile candidate in Assam, has total movable and immovable assets worth Rs 4,75,85,258.
Sonowal, a former Chief Minister and two-time Union Minister, filed his nomination as the BJP's candidate from Dibrugarh on March 26.
In the affidavit, he declared his total moveable assets as Rs 1 crore, 64 lakh, 65 thousand, and 258 crore. On the other hand, he mentioned the amount of his inmovable assets as 3 crore, 11 lakh, and 20 thousand.
According to the affidavit, Sonowal has cash deposits of Rs 27,679.
He also has four bank accounts in his name with total deposits of Rs 47,59,705.
On the other hand, Sarbananda Sonowal has a huge amount of money deposited in mutual funds and bonds. As per the affidavit, Sonowal's deposit in mutual funds and bonds is Rs 59.75 lakh.
Apart from this, he also has life insurance worth Rs 73 lakh. On the other hand, Sarbananda Sonowal has gold ornaments worth around Rs 2.5 lakh. He mentioned in his affidavit that he does not own a car.
