SBI officers’ association donates 30 units of blood in a camp at Agartala

The annual blood donation camp of the State Bank of India (SBI) Officers' Association was concluded with enthusiasm and excitement at Agartala Press Club on Sunday morning. T
There was a significant presence of officers in the blood donation camp. Altogether 30 blood donors donated blood voluntarily in today's camp. It is noteworthy that 46 people registered, out of which the participation of women officers was notable, but many could not donate blood due to various physical reasons. There were 4 new blood donors, one of whom was a woman.
This organization has been doing this great work every year before Durga Puja for the past 14 years. Sanjay Dutt, the central committee member of the organization, said that there is a shortage of blood in the blood banks during this time, so they organize blood donation camps every year at this time. He also expressed his opinion that blood donation camps are decreasing in our state, that is, the voluntary blood donation rate has fallen behind the national average, which was 98.6% earlier, but has now come down to below 70%, and he requested all the organizations and clubs in the state to come forward to organize this camp in response to the call of the Chief Minister of the state.
The presidents and secretaries of the organization's two regional committees were present at the blood donation camp.
