Tripura cabinet approved opening of Dental College, JRBT result soon: Sushanta
In a significant decision, the Tripura cabinet has approved the opening of the first Dental College in the state and the government has decided to start the dental college in IGM Hospital (G+7) building.
Giving details Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury addressing a press conference here at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday evening said that a delegation of Dental Council of India (DCI) visited the infrastructure of IGM Hospital and expressed satisfaction.
Chowdhury in the meeting of the cabinet yesterday, it was decided to appoint people in different departments and to create new posts. The minister said that in the cabinet meeting, it was decided to appoint 263 male and female warders under the Jail department. 15 Food Inspectors (Group-C) under Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs department will also be appointed and the recruitment process will be done through Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
Chowdhury also informed that 17 ward secretaries will be appointed in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and 34 vacancies in Tripura Assembly will be filled. These posts are LDC cum Typist, Junior Reporter, Translator, Driver, Peon, Sorter, Assistant Manager, Junior Cook and Room Attendant. Also in the Cabinet meeting yesterday, the Chief Minister Special Scholarship for Divyangjan scheme for visually impaired students studying in general degree colleges of the state will be given Rs. 5000 per month. He informed that it has been decided to increase the allowance from 8 thousand rupees to 9,600 rupees per month for the students who are doing veterinary science and animal husbandry internship under the Department of Animal Resources Development. He said that it has been decided to transfer the teachers of government-aided schools across the state once in their working life. Earlier government aided schools did not have any transfer policy. Chowdhury also said that the Council of Ministers decided to publish the results of the much-awaited JRBT examination soon.
At the press conference, the Minister informed that 10 new posts have been created in the Information and Technology Department. These posts are Additional Officer, Accounts Officer, Programmer, Head Clerk, Senior Computer Assistant, UDC and LDC. Also, in the cabinet meeting, it was decided that this year's dress allowance will be paid to the home guards in the month of December. He said that the written exam results of JRBT will be published soon. Secretary of Rural Development Department Sandeep R Rathod was also present at the press conference.
