Attack on Chinese mining convoy carrying gold in Congo leaves four people dead
At least four people, including two Chinese nationals, were killed when their convoy was attacked in northeast Congo recently, media reports said.

The attack reportedly occurred when the convoy was transporting gold.
Sammy Badibanga Kalonji, administrator of the Fizi territory where the attack took place, was quoted as saying by Assciated Press that a Congolese soldier, a driver and two Chinese nationals were killed in the armed robbery near the Kimbo river.
Kalonji said three people were also hurt in the incident.
The wounded were rushed to local hospital for treatment.
China is a major investor in the country.
