Pakistan: Class-IV employees in Swat demand 200% pay hike
Swat: Class-IV employees from different parts of Swat in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday demanded a 200 percent hike in their salaries.
All Pakistan Clerk Association district president Ali Rehman, Class-IV Association general secretary Malik Fazal, All Swat Class-IV Employees Union president Syed Khitab, Subhan and WSSC employees’ leader Mohammad Raziq joined the protesters outside Swat Press Club.
The agitation was organised by All Swat Class IV Employees Association.
The leaders of the agitators said that prices of daily use commodities increased by 200 percent and Class-IV employees couldn’t even buy food for their families.
Protesters said that they could not meet their needs as the government did not increase their salaries.
Agitating Class-IV employees said that apart from food items, prices of medicines also increased manifolds.
