Pakistan: TTP threatens Shia population in Sindh
Tehreek-e-Taliban, Pakistan (TTP) leader Omar Khorasani vide Ghazi Media Network issued a threat letter to the Shia population of Sindh province of the harshest actions for making blasphemous comments against the companions of Prophet Muhammad.
The threat says that in a country formed in the name of Islam, making blasphemous comments
against Prophet Muhammad and his companions and sharing them on social media is unbearable and an unpardonable act.
He says that there have recently been a series of incidents of insults aimed at Islamic holy
figures right from Gilgit-Baltistan to Karachi where insulting remarks have been made on Sahabah Radwanullah Alaihim Ajjamin and the second Calip Hazrat Umar Farooq by Shia community members and alleged that this is being done under the regular patronage of a large section of
the state elements.
Referring to an event which occurred last month, in which an effigy of Sahabah Radwanullah Alaihim Ajjamin was burnt, the TTP leader said that such incidents will not be tolerated by the outfit and the perpetrators will be taught a lesson which will be remembered by several future generations.
