8 pilgrims killed as bus plunges into ravine in Maharashtra
Nandurbar (Maharashtra): At least eight pilgrims died in a tragic accident in Nandurbar, Maharashtra, on Saturday when a bus veered off the road and fell into a deep ravine at Chandshali Ghat.

The victims were returning from a visit to the Astamba Devi temple, police said.
Authorities said that the driver lost control while negotiating the steep ghat road, causing the bus to plunge into the ravine, India Today reported.
The impact threw passengers from the vehicle, which was completely destroyed.
Local police rushed to the scene, sending the injured to Taloda Sub-District Hospital, while those seriously wounded were referred to the district hospital for advanced care, said the report.
The bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem and later handed over to their families.
The Astamba Devi temple is a major pilgrimage destination, particularly for the tribal community, drawing devotees from Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Chandshali Ghat, where the accident took place, is notorious for its steep and hazardous terrain, posing high risks for vehicles.
