Delhi Police recover sex toy, obscene CDs from self-styled godman Chaitanyananda’s ashram
The scandal surrounding self-styled godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has deepened, with Delhi Police recovering a sex toy, at least five CDs suspected to contain obscene videos, and fake documents during a search at his ashram in Vasant Kunj.

Officials said the 62-year-old, whose real name is Parthasarathy and who hails from Odisha, appeared to have a fixation with sex toys.
The CDs, which are being examined, reportedly suggest his “compulsive sexual behaviour.”
Police also seized three fake photographs showing Chaitanyananda with former US President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and a UK politician.
Investigators said these were likely used to impress devotees. Alongside, officers recovered bogus visiting cards claiming he was a “permanent ambassador” to the UN Economic and Social Council and a “special envoy” to BRICS.
NDTV had earlier reported on the baba’s sleazy text messages to female students. In one chat, he called a student “sweetie baby daughter doll” and repeatedly addressed her as “baby.”
In another, he asked, “You’ll not sleep with me?” One of the most shocking revelations came from chats where he suggested providing a “sex partner” for a Dubai Sheikh, hinting at possible links to sex trafficking.
Chaitanyananda faces allegations of sexually assaulting at least 17 women. Cases of harassment were filed against him in August, after which he evaded the police for nearly two months before being arrested from a hotel in Agra on Sunday.
Police said he checked in on September 27 and remained in his room to avoid detection.
The controversial godman has now been sent to five days’ police custody as investigators continue to track his assets and probe his alleged criminal network.
