The airline informed stock exchanges that it received the regulator’s communication on September 26, 2025, as reported by The Economic Times.

According to the DGCA, the violation relates to the alleged use of unqualified simulators for pilot training — a breach of aviation safety regulations,

In its response, IndiGo said it is “in the process of contesting the DGCA order before the appropriate appellate authority.”

The airline added that the penalty has “no material impact” on its financials, operations, or other business activities.

The company also cited an unintentional delay in disclosing the information, attributing it to a lag in the internal communication of the order’s details.
