The programme will also feature the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh, the fourth edition of the National Skill Convocation, where 46 All India Toppers from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will be felicitated.

The Prime Minister will launch PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs), a centrally sponsored scheme with an investment of ₹60,000 crore.

He will also inaugurate 1,200 vocational skill labs set up across 400 Navodaya Vidyalayas and 200 Eklavya Model Residential Schools in 34 states and Union Territories.

Students, including those from remote and tribal areas, will be trained in 12 high-demand sectors such as IT, automotive, agriculture, logistics, tourism, and electronics.

1,200 vocational teachers will be trained to deliver industry-relevant skills, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and CBSE curriculum.

Bihar-focused initiatives

With an eye on Bihar’s youth and legacy, PM Modi will roll out several flagship projects.

Nearly 5 lakh graduate youth to receive ₹1,000 monthly allowance for two years, plus free skill training under Revamped Mukhyamantri Nishchay Svyam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana.

Interest-free loans up to ₹4 lakh for higher education will be provided under the Redesigned Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. Over 3.92 lakh students have already benefited from ₹7,880 crore in loans.

As part of the PM-USHA (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan), the PM will lay the foundation stone for new academic and research facilities.

The PM will also dedicate the Bihta campus of NIT Patna, designed to host 6,500 students, and equipped with a 5G lab, an ISRO-backed Regional Academic Centre for Space, and an Innovation & Incubation Centre that has already supported nine start-ups.

Officials said these initiatives are expected to redefine India’s skilling ecosystem, expand access to modern education, and strengthen youth empowerment.

With Bihar receiving special attention, the state is likely to emerge as a hub of skilled manpower, boosting both regional and national growth.
