ADG-BSF meets CM, CS, DGP, discussed prevailing situation in border
Additional Director General, BSF (Eastern Command), Kolkata, Ravi Gandhi arrived at Frontier Headquarters in Tripura on his two-days visit from July 12 to 13, 2024. He reviewed the current security scenario and discussed various operational aspects of border management including the steps being taken to prevent the illegal migration of Bangladesh Nationals.
ADG was welcomed by IG BSF Tripura, Patel Piyush Purusottam Das, IPS and other senior officers followed by guard of honour. IG BSF Tripura briefed the ADG about the general security scenario along the Indo - Bangladesh border. IG briefed ADG about the challenges being faced by troops on ground along the international border and measures taken to counter the challenge of illegal migrants.
The ADG also had a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Dr Manik Shaha, Chief Secretary, Jitendra Kumar Sinha and DGP, Amitabh Ranjan. During the high-level meetings ADG BSF discussed the prevailing security scenario. He also apprised the various measures being taken by BSF, especially tech solutions for border domination and action being taken to counter the illegal migration of Bangladesh Nationals.
ADG (Eastern command) further had a detailed interaction with Officers and discussed the issues being faced at ground level. The ADG (Eastern command) BSF along with IG Tripura Frontier will also be visiting the border areas to take stock of the situation and will meet field commanders during the visit.
