Sanskrit week celebration of CSU, Ekalavya campus begins
Ekalavya Campus of Central Sanskrit University of Agartala inaugurated its week-long Sanskrit Week Celebration – 2025 with great enthusiasm and reverence on 4th August 2025 at the Army Public School, Agartala.
The inaugural session began on Monday morning with the Lighting of the Lamp ceremony by distinguished guests and the Chairperson, followed by Vedic Benediction by Dr. Prakash Ranjan Mishra and the singing of the University Anthem.
Dr.Umesh Chandra Mishra, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Vyakarana, Ekalavya Campus, delivered the Welcome Address & Introduction, setting the tone for the day. The Chairperson then felicitated the invited guests.
The Keynote Address was delivered by Colonel Sharma who graced the event as the Chief Guest. This was followed by a Special Guest Address by Mrs. AnjanaWrankhal, Principal of Army Public School, Agartala.
Prof.Makhlesh Kumar, Director, Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, addressed the gathering with the Presidential Address, highlighting the importance of Sanskrit in India's educational and cultural fabric.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr.ItishreeMahapatra, Assistant Professor, Department of Dharmashastra, and the singing of the National Anthem. The entire session was smoothly anchored by Dr.Subrahmanya Bhat, Assistant Professor, Department of Vyakarana.
The celebration marks the beginning of a series of events to promote the learning and appreciation of Sanskrit language and literature.
