Agartala Press club celebrates its 40th foundation day
The 40th Foundation Day celebration of Agartala Press Club kicks off on Tuesday with a huge rally amid huge enthusiasm among the media fraternity.
As part of its year-long programme, a big procession attended by people from the media community organized at Agartala, which passes various thoroughfares of the city in participation of all veteran journalists.
Before the commencement of the rally, as a sign of jester and love from the club, every member who participated in the rally was honored with an Angavastram.
Senior members of the Agartala Press Club present collectively started on Tuesday’s procession in the presence of all other media fraternities including the incumbent office bearers in front of the club
Apart from notable senior journalists Srota Ranjan Khisa, Satyabrata Chakraborty, Subal Dey and many other prominent and promising journalist fraternities graced the procession. After the beautiful and orderly procession, the day's program concluded with a banquet for all at the club. Secretary Ramakanta Dey and President Jayanta Bhattacharjee thanked everyone for making today's program a resounding success. They urge all to keep on extending their support in the upcoming program. It is learned that Agartala Press Club has undertaken a year-long programme including seminars, exhibitions, felicitations, quizzes, workshops, and cultural events as part of the celebration of its glorious 40th foundation anniversary.
