Air gun recovered with dry Ganja from Sonamura
The Sepahijala district police in the wee hours of Thursday seized huge quantities of dry Cannabis (Ganja) from a deep jungle of Dhanirampur village under Sonamura police and has also recovered a sophisticated air gun from an abandoned house.
Giving details, police said that based on secret information over storing of huge quantities of dry Ganja in the deep jungles of Dhanirampur village, a contingent of police along with forces raided that village in the wee hours of Thursday. During the raid, police recovered huge quantities of Ganja leafs and 65 kilograms of matured Ganja from an abandoned house. During the search in that house, police team has also recovered a sophisticated air gun.
Police added that they have started an investigation over storing huge quantities of Ganja and recovery of the air gun. During the raid, police were also unable to arrest any of the smugglers involved in storing of Ganja in the jungles.
