An international seminar conducted at CSU, Ekalavya Campus

The Department of Vedanta in collaboration with ICPR, New Delhi, conducted a two day national seminar on the topic ‘Relevance of Shankaracharya's Philosophy in Modern Day'.
In the inaugural session of the same, Prof. Madan Mohan Jha, Dean of Academic Affairs, CSU, New Delhi, remained present as the Chief Guest. In his address, he extrapolated the subtle aspects of Shankaracharya’s philosophy which still paves the way towards right path of living for the welfare of mankind.
The inaugural session was presided over by Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of the campus. In this two daylong seminar renowned philosophers like Dr. Dabe Rajendra Kumar Lecturer and Head of the School of Indological Studies, Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Moka, Mauritius, Mr. Rautgar Kartharnst, Netherland and Dr. Somnath Sarkar, Kalyani University, Kolkata, chaired various sessions of paper presentation. A total number of 72 participants presented their paper in this seminar. On the side of ICPR, Dr. Sachchidanand Mishra, Member Secretary, ICPR, coordinated actively in conducting this seminar smoothly. Dr. Nepal Das, Assistant Professor (Department of Vedanta) was the Coordinator and Dr. Palash Santra was the Joint Coordinator of this seminar.
