BSF to conduct “Swachhata Pakhwada” from Dec 1st to 15
Agartala: Keeping in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a clean and healthy India, Border Security Force (BSF) has also actively participated in “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by conducting special cleanliness drives in all the BSF campuses, their surroundings and the remote bordering areas.
BSF through a press communiqué said that thus, promoting and valuably contributing to the noble cause of environmental conservation, organizing events like “Swachhata Pakhwada”, and Cleanliness Drives and spreading awareness regarding clean India among common people of the society has become a regular feature of the sentinels of the Border.
The first day of “Swachhata Pakhwada” will be coinciding with the 58th Raising Day of the elite Border Guarding Force- BSF. The troops under BSF Tripura Frontier will take a pledge to meet the challenges of the cleanliness of their surroundings by organizing different special drives with effect from 1st Dec to 15th Dec 2022. During the series of such special drives, Tripura Frontier along with all sector HQs and Field formations will carry out extensive cleaning of their campuses down up to the Border Out Posts (BOPs) level.
Further, to mark this event, different initiatives will also be undertaken including community area adoption, Systematic Waste Disposal Plan (Segregation of Organic and Inorganic Waste) community awareness on cleanliness and plastic free environment, display of “Swachhata Message” through Banners, Posters and Hoardings of “Shramdan Drives” for green and clean area by BSF troops and their families in BSF Campuses and surrounding areas.
The above intensive ‘Cleanliness Drive’ by BSF will also be carried out in public areas like nearby markets, hospitals, Primary Health Centres, bordering areas, schools in remote areas, nearby Railways stations, National Highways and prominent tourist places involving the local population and district and local administration to actively participate in this campaign.
