BSF Tripura organizes blood donation camp

As part of the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (NVBDD) a blood donation camp was organised at Composite Hospital, of frontier headquarters of BSF at Salbagan, on the outskirts of Agartala on Friday.
BSF through a press statement said that altogether 30 BSF soldiers donated blood for the noble clause . National Blood Donation Day is celebrated with the slogan “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives.” To mark this significant day, a National Mega Voluntary Blood Donation drive is being organized from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 (Gandhi Jayanti) by the CAPF Composite Hospital, Agartala, in collaboration with the Blood Bank department of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GB Pant Hospital, Agartala.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. SP Yadav DIG (Med) Composite Hospital Agartala emphasized that such initiatives reaffirm the dedication of BSF towards community health and social responsibility. The drive is expected to significantly contribute to the availability of blood for medical emergencies and patient care across the region. BSF is not only the first line of defence but also the first responder in every crisis.
