Changes in state committee of BJP
Keeping in view of the ensuing assembly elections, the ruling BJP has made some changes in the state committee of the party.

Keeping in view of the ensuing assembly elections, the ruling BJP has made some changes in the state committee of the party.
The state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee has reconstructed the state committee and two leaders including Tapash Bhattacharjee and Bimal Chakma have been appointed as vice-presidents of the state unit.
Most significant is the induction of incumbent vice-president of the party Amit Rakshit has been elevated as General Secretary of Tripura unit of BJP.
Earlier, the state committee had six vice-presidents, now it has increased to seven and general secretaries now stand at four including Tinku Roy, Papiya Datta, Kishore Barman and Amit Rakshit.
