CM advocates for balanced education & cultural activities in schools
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Monday said that the current government is prioritizing the development of the education sector, emphasizing that schools are the ideal place to build the future.
Dr Saha said this at the annual prize distribution ceremony of Maharani Tulsibati Girls' HS School and the felicitation ceremony for meritorious students in the secondary and higher secondary examinations conducted by the TBSE.
“Real talent develops from school. Not everyone excels in everything; hard work is essential. Success in life comes through confidence,” he said.
Dr Saha praised Maharani Tulsibati School as one of the well-known schools, saying, “Everyone knows the name of this school. It is a matter of pride to be a student here. This school has always performed well in terms of results. Maharani Tulsibati established this school to promote women's education. Besides education, Maharani was also active in the development of culture.”
He also highlighted that good student results bring joy and pride not only to parents or guardians but also to school teachers.
“However, it is not enough to be a bookworm. In addition to studies, children should also pay attention to other areas. Talent is also developed through cultural practices and sports. The current government is working on the development of the education sector with special priority. We want more learning in schools. Do more sports. Yoga should be practiced more in schools. The golden moments of student life are remembered by everyone throughout their life,” he added.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, Higher Education Director NC Sharma, Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manik Lal Das, and others were present at the event.
