CM Arogya Yojana valid, govt clarifies
The “Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana -2023” which was introduced in the state last month will continue, said Chief Executive Officer (CEO )Tripura Health Protection Society, State Health Agency, Tripura on Saturday.
In a press release issued on Saturday, the government agency categorically refutes a rumour propagated by a section of social media and other platform media that the scheme has been cancelled which is not at all a fact and correct. There was a technical mistake in the earlier Memo which was rectified today after the cancellation of the previous Memo. There is no question of cancelling this scheme said the CEO. After clarifying the issue, the government handout urges everyone to be moved by rumour but stay confident with the CMJAY and keep on enrolling their names if not enrolled yet. Meanwhile, a total of 1,78,787 beneficiaries have been given Ayusman Cards and a total of 88,472 families have been covered under this popular scheme. The ambitious scheme provides health coverage of Rs.5.00 Lakh per beneficiary family per annum.
An official of the Tripura Health Protection Society(THPS) told NEC that there was a technical mistake in the Memo (F.220025/1/24/THPS regarding the launching of CMJAY issued by the society and it was rectified and replaced by another Memo issued on March 2, 2024, Saturday which has come into force with immediate effect. There is no question of cancellation of a popular scheme like CMJAY, he added. Meanwhile, the CEO of the THPS urges the people not to be misled by rumours or concocted news. The CM-JAY will continue to render its benefits as per the provision made in the scheme. The government is committed to rendering good governance to every citizen of this state with better health services and providing a good health insurance coverage of Rs.5.00 Lakh per beneficiary family per annum under the CM-JAY. So, the question of cancelling this scheme does not arise, he reaffirmed.
