CM directs Health secretary to take necessary steps for treatment of Dhan Mohan Tripura’s wife

People from different parts of the state yet again came to meet the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and spoke about their problems, shortcomings and grievances at Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme today. Most of them met the Chief Minister to seek assistance for treatment. After examining their documents, the Chief Minister instantly directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps.

Dhan Mohan Tripura from Manu Bazar, Sabroom also attended the programme to seek help for treatment of his wife who has been suffering from heart disease since couple of years. His wife was referred to get advanced treatment and heart surgery done outside the state. Nonetheless, he couldn’t bear the expenses due to financial crisis. After going through different documents, the Chief Minister directed Secretary of Health department Dr. Debashish Bose to take necessary steps. Resident of Chandipur of Kailasahar and daily wage worker by profession, Litan Das also attended the programme for treatment of his 12-year-old Divyang daughter who suffers from epilepsy. 10 to 12 lakh rupees is required for advanced treatment in Bengaluru. Being a daily wager, Litan couldn’t afford the cost for the treatment. He shared his helplessness on this matter. The Chief Minister directed officials of concerned department to provide necessary assistance.

Grahana Shanti Molsom of Mungiakami, Khowai attended Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme to seek assistance for treatment of her husband who has been suffering from ulcer for the past 2 years. Her husband had recently undergone a surgery at GBP hospital. Grahana Shanti’s husband used to run a small business but now he is jobless. In such condition, it is difficult for Grahana Shanti to cover her husband’s treatment expenses. After patiently listening to her problem, the Chief Minister directed Secretary of Health department to take necessary initiative. Krishna Ghosh from Udaipur also met the Chief Minister. He had his education from Shishu Nandan Orphanage. Presently, he has a small shop. But in 2021, he had a brain stroke and left part of his body has entirely become paralyzed. His medicines cost Rs. 4,200 monthly. Sharing about his inability to cover his medicine expenses to the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister directed officials of concerned department to provide necessary assistance to him. Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Health department Dr. Debashish Bose, Secretary of Minority Welfare department Tapas Roy and other officials of Health department were present in this weekly programme.
