CM met legal representative of 10,323 teachers, discussion to continue
Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday evening attended a meeting with the legal representatives of the retrenched 10,323 teachers to find a possible solution for their reinstatement in jobs, but for final conclusion, the meeting has been extended for another day.
After the meeting with the legal representatives of retrenched teachers advocate Chandra Sekhar Sinha said that the meeting with the Chief Minister was very fruitful and had brief discussion to find an amicable solution for reinstatement of sacked teachers.
Advocate Sinha said that the Chief Minister requested to extend the meeting for another day as he has another schedule. So for the time being, the final conclusion of the meeting was not possible. "We are very much hopeful over the positive attitude of the Chief Minister that soon we will go for a final conclusion," said Sinha, adding that the meeting was very effective.
It may be recalled here that another group of 10,323 retrenched teachers are on fast unto death demanding reinstatement of their services near Rabindra Bhavan for the past 34 days.
Earlier, representatives of the 10,323 teachers met the Chief Minister and put forward their demand for restoration of their services and they were assured that there will be a meeting of 'extended form' after Durga puja.
As scheduled, the Chief Minister on Tuesday met the legal representatives of 10,323 teachers to discuss their issue as promised earlier , but the meeting could not be continued for final conclusion due to pre-engagement by the Chief Minister.
