DG, CRPF meets CM, discussed deployment
The Director General (DG) of CRPF Dr Sujoy Lal Thaosen on Friday arrived in the state capital and during a courtesy call met the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha at the Civil secretariat.
DG, CRPF has discussed the deployment of CRPF and BSF in the state with the Chief Minister.
Dr Sujoy Lal Thaosen visited the Tripura sector headquarters and reviewed the operation preparedness of the CRPF deployed in the state.
Ravideep Singh Sahi, ADG briefed the DG regarding the general law and order scenario in the state pre and post election and the challenges likely to be faced in near future.
DG, CRPF applauded the role of CRPF , other central forces and the local administration in ensuring free , fair and peaceful elections in the recently concluded in the state. He emphasized the need to strengthen coordination amongst sister agencies like BSF and state police in order to neutralize insurgent groups operating along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
