DYFI demands legal action against a TTE, who assaulted a lady in running train
Demanding legal action against a a Traveling Ticket Examiner(TTE) of Indian Railway, who has brutally assaulted a woman passenger travelling from Bangalore to Agartala through Humsafar express, the Youths of DYFI and TYF raised their strong protest over the viral video of a girl, in which TTE assaulted that girl in running train.
On Thursday, a group of youth leaders including DYFI’s state president Palash Bhowmik, secretary Nabarun Deb with leaders of TYF submitted a deputation before the station manager of Agartala railway station and demanded immediate legal action against accused TTE.
Later, speaking with media persons secretary of Tripura unit of DYFI, Nabarun Deb expressing their concern over the safety and security of women passengers said that the people of the state witnessed how a TTE harassaded a woman passenger and through his uncivilized behavior, accused TTE has also physically assaulted that lady in a brutal manner.
The overall quality of services is very poor in trains of both the long range and short range railway routes and none of the trains are adequately cleaned, rather all trains are littered with garbage, said Deb and added that through their deputation , the DYFI-TYF has demanded safety of all passengers must be ensured and all trains should be cleared before each journey.
