Edu dept releases offer to 18 Asst Professor for Kokborok
This is for the first time, the Education department released the appointment letters for 18 assistant professors for Kokborok language.
Education Minister Ratn Lal Nath speaking with media persons on Friday said that the state government is keen to develop language education. He said the state government also decided to increase the financial help for the youths who will go to outside the state for coaching for better UPSC results under the ‘Lakhya Scheme. The amount in the project will be increased from Rs 1 Lakh to 5 lakh. He said it will help the youths to get better coaching for competitive examinations.
He said the department has recognized 16 post graduate teachers working in colleges as Assistant Professors and added that the education department has sent another file seeking sanction for finance department for another five assistant Professor posts.
He said salary of 228 teachers working under Ramsa project on contact basis will be increased by Rs 4,010 per month. At present they are getting Rs 26,730 and after the increases, they will now get Rs. 30,740.
