The 2nd phase of Lok Sabha Election was conducted in a peaceful manner in East Tripura Lok Sabha seat where the entire voting process was completed in a festive manner and there was not a single  incident of any political violence before or after the voting process.

The BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee accompanied by two ministers Pranajit Singha Roy and Sushanta Chowdhury  addressing a press at the state party office in Agartala on Friday evening said that there were a large number of queues which were seen in some polling stations after 5 PM and voters were seen and tokens were distributed to them by the Election commission.

He added that going by this number a total of 80.32% would have casted their votes in Tripura East Lok Sabha Constituency and the highest number of votes were casted in Sabroom Assembly Constituency with 85.64% votes.

Rajib Bhattacharjee has thanked all the voters that despite such a tough heated weather the voters came out in numbers to cast their vote. He has thanked everyone in the state who casted their votes and along with them he was thankful to the Police department, General administration and all the staffs who were associated with the entire election process and Media personnel of the state. He was happy with the fact that no political violence was seen or heard in both Tripura West and Tripura East Lok Sabha Constituencies.
