Every health centre of the state is being converted to Health & Wellness Centre: CM
The government continues to make efforts towards development of health services in the state. The government has prioritized infrastructural development of health to provide all kinds of modern treatment facilities across the state, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.
Addressing the 4th anniversary of Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana and 1st anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan on Saturday , the Chief Minister said that each and every health centre of the state is being converted to Health & Wellness Centre.
He said, Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana is one huge health insurance scheme in the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been appreciated in the world arena for its successful implementation. Under the scheme, the beneficiary families are getting cashless assistance of up to 5 lakh rupees for treatment purposes.
This has somewhat lessened the burden of the weaker section of people in terms of getting treatment facilities. The Chief Minister said, Tripura as compared to other states is not behind in any case in terms of healthcare services. It is important to build good relations between doctors and patients to provide good service. The patient and their family also must have faith in the doctors and their treatment. The Chief Minister also emphasized upon keeping cordial behavior with the patient and their families. He mentioned the efforts of the government towards upgradation of Tripura Medical College to the level of RIIMS and NEIGRIHMS, setting up of AIIMS hospital and a dental college. He also spoke about the important role of ASHA and healthcare workers in the successful Mukhyamantri Sustha Shaishab, Sustha Kaishor campaign.
He said, the government is giving great importance to setting up of modern health infrastructure in the state. The Oxygen plant set up in IGM and AGMC hospital is the largest of its kind in the Northeast. He also spoke on different initiatives being taken by the government towards empowering women. Chief Secretary J. K. Sinha mentioned about the important role of the healthcare workers in terms of providing benefits of different health related schemes of the government till the last person of the society. Director of Guwahati based Regional Resource Centre Dr. Ashok Roy also spoke on the occasion. Secretary of Health & Family Welfare department Dr. Debashish Basu and other officials were present during the programme. Welcome speech was delivered by Chief Executive Officer of Tripura Health Safety Samiti Subhendu Debbarma. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Director of Family Welfare & Preventive Medicines department Dr. Radha Debbarma.
A documentary was shown on the success of Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana and of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. The Chief Minister interacted with beneficiaries who have benefitted under Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana. A logo of the Health & Family Welfare department was also launched by the Chief Minister in the programme. For the successful implementation of Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana, District Program Coordinators from different districts and the beneficiaries brought under the scheme were felicitated in the programme. Arogya Mitras were awarded on the ground of best implementation, issuance of the largest number of Ayushman cards and admitting patients to the hospital. Besides this, different health institutions were awarded for the issue of Abha card, National Quality Assurance Standard and implementation of Lakshya programme. The awards were handed over by the Chief Minister and the guests.
