Ganja transporter Bihari youth arrested from Jogendranagar station

Again, on Saturday a drug peddler involved with transportation of dry Ganjan from Agartala to Bihar state was arrested from Jogendranagar Railway station before boarding a long distance train with Ganja.
Giving details, OC of East Agartala police station Rana Chatterjee said that based on secret information, a team police on Saturday after noticing suspected movement of a youth, detained him from Jogendranagar Railway station and in the course of search, police recovered a total of 5.1 kilograms dry Cannabis (Ganja) under his possession.
During preliminary interrogation, arrested drug peddler Bikram Kumat of Khagaria district of Bihar state revealed that he along with a team of peddlers were involved with transportation of dry Ganja from Agartala to Bihar through railway, said Chatterjee.
He said that a specific case under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985 has been registered against him and police on Saturday forwarded him before a local court with police remand appeal for interrogation to get details of drug transportation of a network of Biharis.
