Hapless mother staged demo in front of CM resident, seek treatment, legal action against her husband

A hapless mother to get rid off from continuous torture from her husband and to get helping hand for her treatment of deep burn injuries, caused by her husband, on Thursday staged a protest in front of Chief Minister’s residence in Agartala.
On Thursday morning, all of sudden, one Arpita Acharjee of Madhya Pratapgarh with deep burn injuries and her daughter lay in the footpath, near the CM residence seeking immediate intervention of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha to protect her daughter.
Immediately, a large number of police personnel from East Agartala police station rushed to the spot and they spoke to Arpita about why she staged a protest in front of CM residence.
While speaking with media persons destitute Arpita told that she married to one Bikash Debnath of Daocherrra village of Kalyanpur under Khowai district couple of years ago and after she delivered a girl child, her husband started torturing her. One day, the accused husband had also tried to set her on fire and she suffered critical burn injuries in her lower parts of the body.
Her parents had also lodged a police complaint, but after one year, she did not get any justice and present, her poor father unable to provide treatment to her, said Arpita.
She said that she wants justice and help from the Chief Minister for her treatment as she has to live to nourish her one and half years old daughter.
Later, police shifted her to hospital for her necessary treatment and assured that they will take all legal action against her accused husband.
