Medicines counter at GB Hospital by RKS with 33% discount
In order to provide relief to all patients admitted to GB Hospital, the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS), a governing body of the AGMC & GBP Hospital has opened a subsidized medicine counter at the hospital complex.
The Health secretary Dr Debasish Basu inaugurated the counter on Tuesday, which will sell the medicines to patients at a discount of 33% from its maximum retail price (MRP).
Speaking with media persons, the secretary of Health department said that a total of 387 types of medicines will be available at this counter with low price and except the scheduled drugs under DPCO (Drug price control order) item, will get a discount of 33 %. The RKS pharmacy has been run by IRAYS Medtech Solution Pvt Ltd, a Haryana’s Gurgaon-based non-government trading agency which is known for manufacturing and supplying high-grade surgical and patient monitoring equipment, he added.
He hoped that this counter will provide their services to the needy patients and contribute to quality medical care by providing them with various types of medicines.
