In a heartrending and sensational incident, a mother kills her nine years old son by strangulation at West Joynagar area under West Agartala police station on Monday evening.

Police sources said that one woman, Shipra Goyala, by profession a day labourer and abandoned by her husband, started staying at a rented house in West Joynagar area of Agartala with her only son, Rajdeep Goyala (9).

House owner Sabitra Chowdhury after the tragic incident said that just 14 days ago, she gave one room to accused mother Shipra Goyala and they noticed she often tortured her minor son and on Monday afternoon she thrashed her son severally. But, in the evening she killed her son.

The incident of killing a son by her mother spread like wildfire, hundreds of local people gathered in front of that house to see the killer's mother.

While, after the incident when police rushed to the spot and with police personnel some media persons were rushed to capture the scene of crime and they noticed, the killer mother was sitting with the lifeless body of her son.

Speaking with media persons, the killer mother said that her husband abandoned her years ago and her only daughter was married years ago. She is staying with her son in a rented house and maintaining her family by working as a day labourer in a construction site. But, often she had to be abused by local people due to mischief conducted by her son, who quit study.

She alleged that often her son was involved with stealing incidents and she had also tried to keep him in the worksite, but she started losing her job due to naughty activities of her son. “ I am tired and severely abused due to his mischief and to get rid of daily mischief , I killed him by strangulation with a rope,” admitted killer mother.

Meanwhile, police said that they arrested the accused mother and shifted the body to GB Hospital morgue for autopsy. After finding the autopsy report, they can say specifically over the nature of death and subsequently will take all legal action against the accused mother.
