Mukhyamantri Samipeshu: CM directs for the treatment of cancer patient Rama Sarkar
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha interacted with the public in the weekly programme, Mukhyamantri Samipeshu at his residence on Thursday. People from different parts of the state joined the programme to speak with the Chief Minister regarding their woes and shortcomings and hence seek assistance. Most of them have joined the programme to seek assistance for treatment purposes. The Chief Minister patiently listened to their problems and asked the Secretaries of concerned departments to take necessary initiatives.
Rama Sarkar, a resident of Bajalghat of Bhati Fatikcherra of Mohanpur joined the programme today with her husband to seek assistance from the Chief Minister for her cancer treatment. Rama Sarkar was getting treated at Tata Cancer Hospital, Mumbai. After every 21 days, she needs to take an expensive injection which is becoming almost impossible for her husband to afford the cost of her treatment. After examining her treatment documents, the Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps for Rama Sarkar’s treatment. Dipak Das, a daily wage worker by profession and a resident of South Taranagar of Sidhai Mohanpur also met the Chief Minister in the programme. His two daughters have been suffering from Asthma. Both are under treatment at GBP Hospital. The Chief Minister instantly directed concerned officials to provide necessary assistance for their treatment. A resident of Nalchar, Khokan Das met the Chief Minister regarding treatment of his 23-year-old son, Prasanta Das who has been suffering from kidney-related disease. Doctors have suggested Prasanta to get a kidney transplant. Presently, he is undergoing dialysis in a private hospital of the state.
A resident of Lankamura of Agartala, Bishu Namah along with his wife Lakhsmi Namah joined the programme to seek assistance for their 11-year-old son, Arjun Namah who has been suffering from kidney-related disease. Doctors have suggested his operation which is quite expensive. The Chief Minister examined Prasanta’s and Arjun’s treatment related documents and directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps. Apart from that, Lakhsmi Saha from Badharghat, Ruby Sarkar from Ramnagar and Uma Dey from Kabirajtilla of West Pratapgarh also have met the Chief Minister. They sought assistance for treatment of their husband. Shanti Debbarma of Najirpukur area of Krishnanagar joined the programme to seek assistance for treatment of her husband Harendra Debbarma. After getting acquainted about their problems, the Chief Minister asked the concerned officials to take necessary steps. Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Health department Dr. Debashish Bose, Secretary of Home department Saradindu Choudhury, Secretary of Social Welfare and Social Education department Tapas Roy, Deputy Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital Dr. Sankar Chakraborty and other officials of concerned departments were present in the programme.
