NLU, Tripura organizes first-ever Freshers’ Day celebration

National Law University, Tripura held its first Freshers’ Day celebration on the 30th of January 2024. The event began with a formal inaugural ceremony, followed by a cultural night and extravaganza. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Justice Arindam Lodh, Judge of the High Court of Tripura as the Chief Guest,and Hrishikesh Chakrabarti, Director of Tripura Judicial Academy, as the Special Guest. The founding Vice-Chancellor of NLU Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, extended his warm welcome to the dignitaries. In his speech, the Special Guest ShriHrishikesh Chakrabarti,extolled the universal virtues of education by citing “SwadeshePujyate Raja, Vidwan SarvatraPujyate”
The Chief Guest of the evening, Mr. Justice Arindam Lodh,in his address to the freshers, inspired them with a quote:“Always be prepared to plunge into darkness to pull someone into the light.” He further added by stating, “Strong people not only stand for themselves, but they also stand for other.”
Prof. (Dr.)Nachiketa Mittal, Registrar NLU, Tripura congratulated the freshers and delivered the inaugural ceremony Vote of Thanks. Thereafter the evening continued with an eclectic mix of cultural activities. The students showcased their artistic talents in a blend of resplendent dance performances and melodious medleys culminating into the show stopping event.
Pratyagra 1.0 promises to bring even more grandeur, and excitement every year. Last but not the least, the organisers are grateful to have Swarna Kamal Jewelleras the Gifting Partner, and Tripura Times, Pathak Sambad, Tripura Observer as Media Partners for the event.
