No summer vacation in colleges of Tripura
There will be no Summer Vacation the present academic year in all general degree colleges, professional colleges and technical institutions under the control of the Higher Education department of Tripura government.
In a notification issued on May 6,2024,(Monday), the Director, of Higher Education N C Sharma said that in the interest of the students, Summer Vacation scheduled to be effective from May 9th to June 3rd, 2024 for 26 days in the General Degree Colleges, Professional Colleges, Technical Institutes operational under the control of the Higher Education Department of Tripura has been withdrawn.
The colleges, institutes will remain open during the period for conducting classes for completion of the syllabus of the students for the ensuing Semester examinations. The notification also said that the faculty members and staff working in the colleges, institutes will get 26(Twenty-six) days EL(Earned Leave) to their credit as they will remain present to work and conduct classes during the Summer Vacation periods from May 9th to June 3rd, 2024. No views of students or representatives of various student organizations were known on this decision so far.
