With allegation of mobile stealing, one man attacked another with an axe at his head and severely injured him at Hatimara Munda Basti of Champahowar police station under Khowai district on Friday.

Sources said that one Swapan Munda of Kamalpur came to his in-laws house at Hatimara Munda Basti and on Friday evening, when he went to the house of one neighbour of in-laws, Amulya Munda. But, Amulya Munda after evening is not getting his mobile phone and after searching it, he over suspicion attacked Swapan Munda and struck an axe on his head.

Later, severely injured Swapan Munda shifted to Khowai district hospital in critical condition and after first aid, doctors referred him to GB Hospital, but poor Swapan Munda unable to come to Agartala due to financial constraint. While, police have rushed to the incident spot to arrest accused Amulya Munda.
