The Fresher’s Welcome program “Novatos-2K23” of ICFAI University Tripura was held on 22nd September, 2023 in the University Campus at Kamalghat. The program Novatos is organized every year by the ICFAI University Tripura to welcome the new batch of students joined the University. Shri Ratanlal Nath, the Hon’ble Minister for Power, Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, Law (Parliamentary Affairs) & Election, Govt. of Tripura has inaugurated the program as Chief guest. Shri Satyendra Singh, Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank and Sri Loken Das, General Manager of NABARD Tripura have also graced the program as Guest of Honour and Special Guest respectively. Prof.(Dr.) Biplab Halder, Vice Chancellor of the University welcomed the Minister, dignitaries and the students who have taken admission into 57 different disciplines during 2023-24 sessions. Prof.(Dr.) Halder has explained about the unique quality academic infrastructure of the University with modern facilities and various academic supports to facilitate the students on his speech. He also informed that the ICFAI University Campus become the world class first True 5G campus in North East India as certified by Reliance Jio & Airtel.

Loken Das, General Manager of NABARD advised the fresher’s on his speech to be a person, establish own individuality by determining differences between Beauty & wish expressed as the new comers are in the stage of “Rupantor (Rup+Antor)” and also advised to leave some Joy for the time being, accept sorrows and work hard to overcome the sorrows for witnessing lifelong joy during the days to come.

Satyendra Singh, Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank advised the students to dedicate themselves in learning and growing. During life span, if someone falls down, they should work hard for getting up as because, getting up in life is really matters.

Minister, Ratan lal Nath emphasizes that “Only study is not enough, real pursuit of knowledge is the main objective of education and the teachers are the tools for transforming knowledge to the students with skills”. He taught the students that the fundamental mission of education is to be Reading, Learning, acquisition of Knowledge, application of Knowledge with skills and this way one can achieve success in life. He advised the students not to become a Job seeker but to be a job giver. He also urged to the students to become a good citizen by setting a goal to build their bright future and to work hard for achieving the success. He became happy to note that the ICFAI University Tripura is steadily advancing towards its object to disseminate high quality soft skills, Life skills and placement oriented contemporary education to the students of Tripura ,other NE States and as a country whole as the University is having diversity of students from nationally and internationally. He tested the quality of students by asking some short quizzes to experience himself how much potentials the ICFAI students have. The Nation India is moving towards “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat”, Our State Tripura is also moving towards “Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura”, like way ICFAI is moving towards “Ek ICFAI, Shrestha ICFAI”. The inauguration program ended with vote of thanks by Dr. A Ranganath, Registrar of the University.

After the inaugural programme, a mind-blowing cultural program performed by the students of the University and later the famous Play-back singer Subhadeep Das Chowdhury, winner of Super Singer Season 4 , Top 10 finalist from Indian Idol and Silver Medal Holder in Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has entertained the audiences with his popular playback songs.

The University authority expressed its heartiest thanks through a press release to all stakeholders for successful completion of the event.
