Rajib blamed oppositions for defaming BJP
The opposition parties are trying to defame BJP while common people have the confidence and trust on good governance and developmental activities of the state government and opposition parties amidst fear of losing ground are trying to spread propaganda against the ruling party, said BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee.
Addressing a press conference at party headquarters in Agartala on Thursday afternoon, Bhattacharjee accompanied by party leaders urged everyone to vote in large numbers for the BJP party candidates in the upcoming three-tier Panchayat elections. He added that opposition parties are saying that they could not field their party candidates in different panchayats by blaming that there is no democracy in the state and no law and order in the state.
However he has denied such statements and said that if there was no democracy then how it was possible for the opposition parties to submit their nominations in different Panchayats. He said that the truth is that their organization has become weak hence they could not field candidates in different Panchayats.
Rajib Bhattacharjee urged that the common people must not to believe the fake propaganda of opposition parties . He further said that the opposition parties are talking about democracy but they have forgotten what kind of democratic system was present during their tenures. They have always tried to destroy the state hence talks of democracy do not sound good from their mouth. The history of CPI(M) and Congress led government in the state is still remembered by people and their history of their violent politics, people will not forget.
He added that if democracy was not there in the state then how do the opposition parties conduct their political programmes and also how the opposition leaders roam freely can. This is why the kind of slogan which they give is just to confuse the common people and hope that peace loving people of Tripura will boycott them.
