Shishu Bihar students bring laurels in board exams
Shishu Bihar HS school, the first government English medium school and a pioneer education institution of the state has achieved tremendous success in the All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 2022-23 both in secondary and higher secondary examinations.
The achievements and accomplishments of the students of the school has always been a glory for the state’s people and the excellent track record of the school in terms of board examinations and in other co-curriculum activities has brought laurels in academic excellence.
The school in its report card by mentioning the achievements in 2022-23 said that altogether 132 candidates appeared in the AISSE and among them 110 students got first division, 15 got second division and 7 students got 3rd divisions and secured cent percent pass marks. The grade wise results stand that 22 students got above 90% of pass marks with A1 grade and 23 more students got A2 grade with above 80% of marks.
As per the report card of the school, the results of the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE)-2022, altogether 231 candidates appeared in the examinations and among them 177 students get 1st division marks, 25 students got 2nd division marks and 25 more candidates also secured 3rd division marks. Among the success students, A1 and A2 grades were received by 22 students each.
Apart from these, the students of Shishu Bihar school also bring laurels in different quiz competitions and proud students of the school Utsab Das and Saswata Bhattacharjee got top 6th positions in the national level quiz competition.
The report card said that one student Samruddha Roy Chowdhury of class-XI has been selected by the jury of My Gov portal for special achievement in all India level quiz on Padma Awards and has been invited to be present as a guest at Rastrapti Bhavan to attend the Padma Awards ceremony-2023.
The Shishu Bihar students also make their presence in different state and national levels competition on provisions of Protection of Civil Rights, national voter’s day, national level drawing competitions and in different cultural and science programmes. The students got medals in different sporting events including international Martial arts championship, North East Olympic, state level competitions, national junior badminton championships, yoga competitions, inter-school and national level cricket competitions and also got selections in Vijay Merchant trophy cricket, Coach Bihar trophy and Colonel C K Nayadu trophy.
