SIR in Tripura, CEO holds all-party meeting in Agartala

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Tripura on Thursday initiated an all party meeting at Agartala before the electoral roll revision programme or Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Tripura.
Official sources said that CEO, Tripura, Brijesh Pandey on Thursday afternoon convened a preparatory all-party meeting on the occasion of the forthcoming voter list (electoral roll) revision programme.
In the meeting, various matters were discussed with the objective of ensuring the smooth conduct of the upcoming voter list revision process.
Representatives of different political parties including Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Indian National Congress, TIPRA Motha Party and Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) were present in the meeting.
Election department sources added that the meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, and all parties assured the Election Department of their full cooperation to ensure that the voter list revision process is conducted in a neutral, transparent, and successful manner.
