Speeding motorbikes collided, one killed, another injured
In a tragic road mishap a young tea stall vendor died and another motorbike rider suffered critical injuries, when a speeding motorbike collided and crashed by another bike from the wrong side at Gurkhabasti area under NCC Police station on Thursday midnight.
Police sources said that one youth identified as Krishna Kar (42) of Lichu Bagan area of the same police station was proceeding towards house at about 11 PM of Thursday through his motorcycle after closing his tea stall located at Orient Chowmuhani market of Agartala.
When Krishna Kar reached near Gurkhabasti area, another motorbike ridden by Sriroy Sutradhar of Gurkhabasti area with heavy speed coming from Heritage park area suddenly crashed with the motorbike of Krishna Kar from the wrong side and by crossing the road divider.
After the heavy sound of crushing, local people rushed to the spot and they informed police and firefighters.
Immediately, firefighters rushed to the spot and shifted both injured bike riders to GB Hospital in critical condition.
After a few hours of treatment Krishna Kar succumbed due to his critical head injuries and the accused motorbike rider Sriroy Sutradhar was still admitted at the hospital.
On Friday morning after autopsy, the body of the deceased Krishna Kar was handed over to his relatives, who was also a father of a 5 years old daughter and only bread earner of his family.
