State cabinet created many posts, registration starts for “Mukhyamantri Tribal Development Mission”
In a number of significant decisions, the Tripura cabinet on Wednesday created many posts including 125 posts for Physical Education Teachers and has also decided to recruit 14 teaching posts in MBB University.
Giving details of the Wednesday’s cabinet decisions, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury addressing a press conference on Wednesday evening at Civil Secretariat said that the cabinet has give its approval for creation of 125 posts for Physical Education Teachers under School Education department and these posts would be filled up for Vidyajyoti schools.
He said that 8 vacant posts for Sports Officer under Youth Affairs and Sports department will be recruited directly and these Group-B gazette posts will be filled up through three steps of qualification tests by Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
The cabinet has also decided to appoint 50 Group-C supervisor posts Under Tribal Welfare and SC Welfare departments under fixed-pay and the Finance department has already give its approval for the appointment process, said Chowdhury and added that 14 teaching posts including 4 post for professors, four posts for associate professors and 6 posts for assistant professors will be recruited for MBB University.
The cabinet decided to appoint 75 assistant professors for general degree colleges of the state, said Chowdhury.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stressed on paperless administration and to achieve the target, the state cabinet decided to go for e-cabinet and next cabinet meetings will be e-cabinet.
Chowdhury said that the present state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has stressed on overall development of tribal population of the state through education, health and for their self-reliance and to fulfill the pre-poll commitment of the government, the last budget has declared for introduction of “Mukhyamantri Tribal Development Mission” and for this a sum of Rs. 30 crore has been approved for the first year of the mission. The Minister added that as per requirement, more funds will also be relaxed under this mission and the Tribal Welfare department has started registration for this scheme.
He said that the “Mukhyamantri Tribal Development Mission” is a bold and holistic step by the state government and under this mission, overall developmental activities would be taken in tribal areas including employment opportunities for unemployed tribal youths, said Chowdhury.
