Every student cannot be a merit student, but a student can surely become a good human if one tries. Besides excelling in academics, students must also become good citizens, said Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) Minister Sushanta Chowdhury in bicycle distribution programme to girl students of Sanchindranagar Higher Secondary School in Jirania on Monday.

 The ICA Minister said, bicycles are being given to all the female students studying in class XI to encourage them to join their school classes regularly. Bicycles have been handed over to 46 female students of the school under 2020-21 and 2021-22 educational year program.

Chowdhury also said, the present government has brought incredible change in education sector and moving towards excellence in education. The Minister also mentioned implementation of different programs of the state government for the improvement of education infrastructure and Mission Vidyajyoti are gaining momentum.

During the programme Sachindrnagar Gram Panchayat Pradhan, Karuna Sharma Goswami, Headmaster of the school Tuhin Dewan and social worker Gouranga Bhowmik were also present.
