Swarna Kumar Tripura still missing, another prisoner flee from GB Hospital
An under trial prisoner escaped from the GB Hospital on Tuesday and till night, police were unable to trace him
Sources said that undertrial prisoner Pradip Sarkar, was a retrenched f 10323 teacher and a resident of Maiganga in Teliamura subdivision under Khowai district was in Central jail for a cheating case. According to sources, he has cheated people in the name of providing Job and there were other cases which were also registered against him.
On Tuesday, he complained about stomach pain in the jail and he was brought to GBP Hospital. He was admitted in the male medicine ward in block number A and his bed number was 5 in the hospital. There were two police officials of the Jail, who were present to guard him and in the afternoon at 2 pm , Pradip Sarkar managed to escape from the hospital.
The two Jail police personnel, posted for guarding duty Basudeb Bhattacharjee and Dipankar Debbarma during his escape time. Before 2pm there were two other police personnel named Tapan Das and Ratan Das.
It may be recalled here that another prisoner Swarnakumar Tripura, a jailed NLFT rebel who also absconded a few days ago and a total of three Jail police personnel were suspended so far, who were allegedly involved in giving a safe passage to Swarna Kumar to escape from the central jail.
