Two crude bombs hurled at a opposition supporter house in Udaipur
After two crude bombs were hurled at a house in Rajarbag area of Udaipur, panic gripped the entire area.
Police sources said that on Saturday midnight suspected miscreants had hurled two crude bombs at the house of one Dipankar Das of ward number-15 of Udaipur Municipal Council, but these bombs were busted and the family persons of Dipankar Das escaped unhurt.
Sources said that Dipankar Das is the supporter of opposition CPI(M) and after March 2nd poll results, miscreants owing allegiance with ruling party targeting him have continued their attacks at his family and had also closed down his rod-cement shop. Ultimately, Dipankar Das was forced to leave Udaipur and started living at Agartala with his wife and children. But, other inmates of his family including his old mother and two other women relatives are staying at his Udaipur house.
On Saturday midnight, a group of suspected miscreants hurled two crude bombs at their house, luckily these were not busted. On Sunday morning, police recovered two crude bombs including a petrol bomb at the courtyard of Dipankar Das’s house.
Meanwhile, opposition CPI (M) alleged that after assembly poll results, their supporter Dipankar Das was attacked many times and miscreants of ruling party after passing of months have continued their intimidation and attacks on his house. CPI (M) also complained that miscreants had hurled bombs at many houses of opposition supporters in Udaipur.
