Adani Group plans to invest Rs 8,700 cr in Bihar; will add 10,000 jobs
Patna: The Adani Group plans to invest Rs 8,700 crore in Bihar across various sectors, generating employment opportunities for approximately 10,000 people, said Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani.

Pranav Adani made the announcement was speaking at the plenary session of Bihar Business Connect 2023, an initiative by the Nitish Kumar government to attract investments and fulfill job creation commitments in the economically challenged state, reported NDTV.
Adani highlighted Bihar's emerging appeal as an investment-friendly destination during the event.
He said that the Adani Group supports Nitish Kumar’s vision for Bihar, and added that the conglomerate now wants to multiply its investment in the state ten-fold, taking it to Rs 8,700 crore.
This, he underscored, will enable the company to invest in additional sectors.
The Adani Group is actively considering the introduction of the Adani Wilmar Group, a collaborative venture specializing in the food and beverages sector, in Bihar.
The group is set to start cement manufacturing operations in the state, with a target production of 10 million metric tonnes. This venture is anticipated to generate around 3,000 employment opportunities.
The Adani Group is also gearing up to invest in the production of smart electricity meters.
As part of this initiative, Adani announced plans to install 28 lakh meters across five cities.
Expressing appreciation for the Chief Minister's emphasis on improving the Ease of Doing Business, Adani expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement received.
"The change is visible, especially in social reforms, law and order situation, literacy and women empowerment," he said.
