Arya.ai founder to create global open source community to boost Safe Super Intelligence ecosystem
A groundbreaking initiative is set to expedite the Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) landscape with the launch of a new collaborative group aimed at building a Safe Super Intelligence (SSI)

This is an invite-only group designed to bring together a diverse community of academicians, developers, startups, enterprises, and venture capitalists (VCs) to ideate, break, build, and nurture the future of safe AGI globally.
Vinay Kumar Sankarapu, CEO & Founder of Arya.ai and a prominent figure in the AI community, explained the group’s vision: “Our goal is to build and grow an open-source research community that can crowdsource ideas and solve multiple critical problems, laying the foundation for achieving Safe Super Intelligence. While the world is focused on building AGI, the real adoption and use of ‘AI’ happens only when it is acceptable by all stakeholders—explainable, stable, and reliable.”
The SSI group will devote two-thirds of its energies to research and one-third to applied machine learning and will have its presence in the USA, India, Singapore and UK. Key areas where SSI Club focuses the research are ‘ML Explainability’, ‘ML Alignment’, ‘ML Safety’, ‘Model Compression’ and ‘New learning architectures’. The initiative aims to foster collaboration among enterprises, academia, VCs, and the developer community to contribute to creating a sustainable SSI ecosystem.
While the members focus on solving these critical issues, they will benefit from access to real-world data sets, problem statements, research grants, VC connections to scale the ideas and collaborations. They will also have opportunities to contribute to research papers, open-source projects, and gain free compute credits along with ML tools. The connections with enterprises could open doors for internships or jobs, while fundable startup ideas will gain visibility among VCs.
The SSI Club initiative is spearheaded by Vinay Kumar, an AI innovator who was named to the Forbes Asia – Consumer Tech 30 Under 30 list in 2016. Arya.ai was named among Top 4 Next Generation Startup by Silicon Valley Forum in 2015.
His expertise also led to his inclusion in the then Commerce and Industry Minister Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman’s Task Force on Artificial Intelligence for Economic Transformation in August 2017.
Vinay’s leadership in AI was further cemented with Arya.ai’s strategic acquisition by Aurionpro Solutions in April 2024, a strategic move that significantly expanded Arya.ai’s capabilities and reach. Vinay is currently working on the new product called AryaXAI, where the team is redesigning the ML platform for mission critical ‘AI’ use cases in enterprises. A lot of time is spent on fundamental rethinking of core ML components like ML explainability, ML Alignment and ML Safety for highly regulated industries like Banks, Insurers, Healthcare, Government etc.
SSI Club’s next major first event is a hackathon scheduled for September 28, 2024, focusing on building a production-ready ML setup for enterprises. This hands-on event will begin with a workshop on deploying ML in enterprises, configuring key ML observability components like explainability, monitoring, and risk. Soon to be launched, AryaXAI’s ML observability tool will be utilised during the hackathon.
This initiative is a joint effort by Arya.ai, represented by Vinay Kumar, Nayyan Mujadiya (Organizer @FutureGPT, Lead Member of Consulting Staff, Siemens EDA), and Nikhil Agarwal (Co-organizer @FutureGPT, Product Security Architect at Ethos, Cybersecurity Consultant).
AryaXAI and FutureGPT are the key partners driving this initiative forward with more partners joining soon.
