Kolkata: JSW Steel on Thursday reported consolidated crude steel production for July at 20.39 lakh tonnes, up 12% YoY against 18.25 lakh tonnes in the corresponding month in 2022.

The company’s production in India stood at 19.72 lakh tonnes in July 2023, up 10% against 17.91 lakh tonnes in July 2022.
JSW Steel USA- Ohio production stood at 0.67 lakh tonnes, up 96% from 0.34 lakh tonnes in the same period last year.
“Over the last three decades, JSW Steel has grown from a single manufacturing unit to become India’s leading integrated steel company with a capacity of 29.7 MTPA in India and the USA (including capacities under joint control),” the company said in a statement.
Its next phase of growth in India will take its total capacity to 38.5 MTPA by FY25, it added.
The company’s manufacturing unit in Vijayanagar, Karnataka is the largest single location steel-producing facility in India with a capacity of 12.5 MTPA.
JSW Steel has a strategic collaboration with global leader, JFE Steel of Japan, enabling JSW to access new and state-of-the-art technologies to produce and offer high-value special steel products to its customers, it said.
These products are extensively used across industries and applications including construction, infrastructure, automobile, electrical applications, and appliances.
