Bengal reeling under severe cold
Kolkata: Bengal is reeling under severe cold with the temperature gradually on the wane.

The minimum temperature in the city on Wednesday was 14.1 degree Celsius. Although it is 1 degree higher than normal, the wind has returned to the mood of winter.
The minimum temperature on Tuesday was 15.1 degrees Celsius.
According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, the temperature in the city may drop to 12 degrees on Sunday. The people of the state can enjoy the winter by spending the weekend.
According to Met office, the temperature will start decreasing in the districts of South Bengal from Thursday.
Temperatures may drop to 4 degrees by Sunday.
Mercury may touch 12 degrees in Kolkata. On the other hand, the situation is similar in the next 48 hours in North Bengal. Since Friday, there has been an indication of mercury falling. By Sunday, the temperature may drop by three to four degrees.
Dense fog in Malda, North and South Dinajpur since Wednesday morning.
Moderate fog over Birbhum, Murshidabad and adjoining Nadia.
Light to moderate fog is also likely in the remaining districts of the state.
Some districts will also experience fog during the day.
Light fog from morning in Kolkata too. Skies are likely to clear later.
The minimum temperature in the morning is 14.1 degrees.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature of the day was 21.8 degrees in Kolkata.
The amount of water vapour in the air is 47-91 percent. For now there is no chance of rain in the metropolis.
