91-year-old Ruskin Bond hospitalised! Health now stable, fans can breathe easy
Dehradun/IBNS: Celebrated Indian author Ruskin Bond’s health has stabilised following his hospital admission in Dehradun last Saturday due to a leg problem, media reports said.
The 91-year-old author has responded well to treatment and is expected to be discharged within a few days.
Doctors confirmed there is nothing to worry about and that Bond is now undergoing physiotherapy under medical supervision.
Officials added that his admission was precautionary.
Bond's Literary Career:
- Bond began writing at a young age; his first novel, The Room on the Roof, was published when he was just 17. It won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 1957.
- He has authored over 500 short stories, novels, and essays, along with poetry, children's books, and non-fiction.
- His works often explore themes of nature, childhood, friendship, love, and nostalgia, making them accessible to readers of all ages.

- Rusty series (stories of a young boy named Rusty)
