A newly released gameplay trailer offers an action-packed glimpse into the game's gritty and cinematic take on turn-based combat while teasing an original Star Wars story featuring both new and returning characters from the Clone Wars era.
Set in the shadows of the Clone Wars, Star Wars Zero Company places players in the role of Hawks, a former Galactic Republic officer and the leader of Zero Company—a group of skilled mercenaries drawn from across the galaxy.
The squad includes a Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian from the ancient Clan Verminoth, a Jedi Padawan, and several other unique characters. Together, they embark on a mission to stop Kundri Fathom, the leader of the Separatist-aligned cult known as the Infinite Coil.
"Our team has poured everything we love about Star Wars into Zero Company," said Greg Foertsch, CEO and Creative Director at Bit Reactor. "We've combined deep tactical gameplay with cinematic storytelling to create an authentic Star Wars experience rooted in the Clone Wars."
Douglas Reilly, Vice President and General Manager of Lucasfilm Games, said the title offers fans a fresh perspective on the Star Wars galaxy by exploring lesser-known corners of the Clone Wars conflict.
Players will manage their operations from The Den, recruiting Operators, upgrading facilities, purchasing equipment, and selecting missions from a holotable.
Combat emphasizes squad building and character relationships, allowing players to unlock support abilities and cross-training benefits that improve skills and stats.
The game features an ever-changing galaxy map spanning more than 150 planets, where player decisions can influence how the story unfolds.
Customization is central to the experience. Players can create Hawks and Operators from eight iconic Star Wars species—Devaronian, Human, Neimoidian, Ovissian, Togruta, Twi'lek, Weequay, and Zabrak—while customizing appearances, voices, specializations, and talents.
The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Deluxe Edition costs $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles, adding exclusive cosmetic packs and Clone Wars-inspired weapon themes.
All pre-orders include the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack featuring an R3 droid and special cosmetic variants for multiple droid models.
Additionally, the game's original soundtrack, composed by GRAMMY Award-winning composer Gordy Haab, will launch alongside the game on August 27 via Walt Disney Records.
